Happy Chinese New Year!!!! Because of the year of the dog, we were asked by the Rotterdam Chinese Festivals to do a live-painting session on a dog at the Bijenkorf and to promote the Chinese New Year.
10 huge dogs were given to different artists to paint their own dog and spread out in the city center. From Feb 19-26, 2018 these 10 dogs are exposed all together at the Timmerhuis in Rotterdam.
Our colorful dogs are for sale afterwards, so spread the word:) For more Info about the dogs, please contact us.
2018: Year of the dog.
For the Rotterdam’s Chinese New Year (from February 12-18) we were asked to make 2 lightboxes for in the wijkpark Kruiskade where the festival is held every year.
We are also participating in a live painting afternoon with a huge French Bulldog in the Bijenkorf Rotterdam on February 17, as a teaser for the Chinese New Year. At the end the bulldog will be exposed together with 9 other painted bulldogs in the Timmerhuis and being sold.

Last Wednesday we were standing with our drawings in the elderly house Humanitas Bergweg, Rotterdam Noord.
Instead of working together with the youth of Rotterdam, we decided to ask this year the elderly/ seniors of Rotterdam Noord to participate in our project.
Coming Thursday, February 15, from 14-16 pm we are standing again in Humanitas Bergweg with our free drawing competition of the Badkonijn.
Come by this afternoon to draw hoe you would like to see this year’s Badkonijn!

The Pauluskerk is a church which is best known for helping the people from the bottom of society, including drug addicts, homeless people and refugees.
Studio MAKY volunteered the past 3 years for the Pauluskerk by organizing and helping with the Naai-atelier (sewing studio). Together with an enthusiastic group of other volunteers and Studio Zi, our main goal was to produce new products from donated cloths. It was also possible for the visitors to learn sewing on the sewing machine and to learn how you could repair your clothes yourself.
As a Christmas present for the visitors of the Pauluskerk, we produced with donated fabrics 100 toiletry bags. The staff of the Pauluskerk filled these bags up with with some handy products, like shower gell, deodorant, socks etc.
Last summer we designed a print for the window of the Grill ‘n Smoke, a high-end bbq catering company specialized in events, festivals, wedding and business events. A part of the 10 meter window design is printed as banner decoration for on location.
The whole window design will be shown later this year!

On October 15, our post pigeon was settled at Graffic Matters in Breda.
This festival is held every 2 years and during a monthly program where all their projects took place in or around the former Breda’s Museum, you could check out their exhibitions which researched the bounderies of graffic design. This years theme was: Shut Up, Speak Up.
Our Post pigeon project about awareness of freedom fitted very well in this interactive day with a lot of different kind of (graffic) activities.
Villa Zebra organized during the autumn holiday a temporarily Pop-Up in Overschie. The theme of the workshops was the fantastic Shiver/Scary/Creepy.
Studio MAKY was asked to give a Fluffy the Puffy workshop, inspired by our fluffy Giant Spidey. It was a day full of colorful, long haired scary and hideous monsters dangling on a single string to scared big people around the corner :). The kids created a wonderful world with colored scary spiders, baby monsters, vampire hamsters and many more!
