Woonstad Rotterdam asked us for a collaboration for their newly designed courtyard on the Rechthuislaan, in Katendrecht Rotterdam.

To maintain the calm and natural design, the mural has to fit well in the range of existing plants of the garden and decided colour palette that was not distracting too much from the new courtyard. We couldn’t see the fully grown plants and the colours of the flowers at that time, but luckily the landscaper told us that it will be much colourful later in the next year spring :). 

Together with the architecture company Studio Nousnous and Woonstad we came to this ‘simple’ plant design. A important detail is that most of the colours in the mural match the plants and flowers in the garden. 

For us this project was a super fun challenge, to finally use graffiti spray paint on a large flat wall of 25 m2 instead of curvy shapes :). We’re looking forward to come back next spring to watch the flowers and the bees!
