Together with help of the children from the South of Rotterdam, Zeehond op Zuid/the Seal of the South got a very fruity and summerly outfit this year!!

After 2 drawing afternoons at the Playground Hillesluis, door-to-door distribution of the coloring sheets and social media call, we received almost 70 colorful designs back:)

Two awesome drawings certainly stood out and were used as inspiration for the new Seal design, the beautiful fresh block design by Yagmur (7 years old) and the cheerful fruit design by Sofia (9 years old). After the painting kids’ day with the local children, we continued painting for another 2.5 weeks. On May the 15th the official launch of the floating artwork, ‘Zeehond op Zuid’ took place with help of many children to push the new giant Seal and little Elephant friend Zeefantje into the water!
