This year, was already the 10th time that we painted the Zeehond op Zuid/ Seal of the South in new fresh colours!

By holding several drawing contests at various locations (Hillesluis Playground and YMCA Feijenoord) and hosting the drawing contest online, we asked the children in Feijenoord to think about the new design of the floating art installation. We received around 60 new designs back:) And this year, we created a new design by selecting a combination of six winning designs by Eline, Lory, Omat, Anisah, Hassan, and Yavuz.

After a fun, sunny painting afternoon with the winners and other children from the neighborhood, we continued painting the Zeehond ourselves and on April 30th, the Zeehond returned to his favorite spot, the water at the Varkenoordsepark.
