Together with the children from Speeltuin Hillesluis, SOL (a welfare organization) and the children from the Feijenoord neighborhood, we have once again painted a new colourful coat on the ‘Seal in the South’, Rotterdam.

From all the entries in our annual drawing competition, we selected two surprising designs: the design by Maisa (9 years old), which consists of flowers and colourful blocks, and the drawing by Zoya (10 years old) featuring various insects.

We combined these two designs into a new design and painted it onto the artwork together with a group of children. After that, we spent another three weeks painting the Seal neatly.

On May 27, the Seal went back onto the water with the help of the winners and the local residents.
