The theme ‘Travel along’ of the Children’s Book Week (Kinderboekenweek) 2019 is all about vehicles, a little big rocket is the first thing what we were thinking about :).
The Public Library of Rotterdam asked us if we could build something in the air within this theme. The children’s book present this year was written by our most famous Dutch astronaut Andre Kuipers. Therefore the choice was easily made to build a little giant space rocket (of 4,5 meter in length) as a decoration piece in the sky of the entrance hall. Kids could also participate in the special traffic square with real police officers during the whole event.
As a finishing touch the central library added also a couple of colorful blow-up planets to create a perfect whole universe in the sky for the little adventurous visitors.
