Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we made a small change in this year Seal’s drawing competition. Because we were not allowed to gather together for giving a drawing workshop to the senior and kids community of Rotterdam South, we placed the coloring page of the Seal on several social media pages and invited everybody to join the drawing competition.

We received some really cool and colorful designs in our mailbox and the designs of Coen and Deniz were chosen to paint on this year. Normally we paint the Seal installation with the help of a big group of volunteers, but this year only the two winners took the paintbrushes and helped us out.

Coen designed a really nice galaxy drawing full of intergalactic characters and we combined his design with Deniz awesome and extremely detailed ‘rainbow’ drawing. The result was a very colorful cosmic Seal to cheer up the whole neighbourhood the whole summer.

The Seal and his little buddy Elephant are floating till November 2020 in the Varkenoordse Park, Rotterdam South.
